Husker Fans
There has been a lot of discussion on the local sports talk shows today about the lack of crowd noise at Husker home games. The pre-game atmosphere around Lincoln..Great, the alumni band playing fight songs at the no option tailgate...Great, watching the NU marching band march into the stadium...Great, the noise level from the crowd after the first quarter..Quiet! Why?
- Too many blue hairs?
- Location of student section?
- Husker Vision pointless features?
- Weak games?

Dear Steve:
Several observations for you and your staff to review:
1. Too many blue hairs...are they really Kansas Jayhawk fans who bought Husker season tickets?
2. Location of student section?...students and ex-students sit where ever they want now...they don't really care about assigned seating...they only request prime access to bathrooms and personalized custom Pepsi drinks.
3. Husker Vision pointless features?...what Husker Vision mega screen?...difficult for me to see through the concrete barriors.
4. Weak games?...our strength of schedule is better than Virginia Tech, Georgia, West Virginia, Texas Tech, Missouri, Oregon State, Michigan State...it will only get worse as we play games in the Big 12 North.
Reminder: Please submit the work order to have the large HDTV installed in the west balcony in section 28. The donation is in the mail...I'm N.
Oh, it's the blue hairs.
My dad and I got yelled at during the Troy game for standing up after a touchdown. We argued with the guy. He said the kids behind us (who happened to be with us) couldn't see. The kids yelled back at him saying they were fine. He said, "Well, the rest of us can't see". So my dad asked him if he'd like to talk about it at halftime outside. He stopped arguing. It was hilarious.
The club seating is ridiculous. They just don't have the fire inside of them. If I have to pay those prices, I'm going to do whatever the BEEP I want.
It's also a larger stadium. I'm no acoustical engineer, but you get the same problem at OSU and Michigan. I don't know if it's more bodies absorbing the sound, or what. But, it seems to be a problem at the larger schools. Between plays, it's eerie at OSU. You can yell and hear an echo. It's amazing.
